Lively Lucy’s & Bare Present: Valentine’s Day Speed Dating

Thursday, February 14th, 2013

Today is Valentine’s Day. If you’re dateless and lonely, you should probably head down to trivia night at DA’s, where I and my only single friend will be drowning our sorrows in cheap beer and questions about Star Wars and the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. If you’re underage, you might consider hitting up speed dating at Falstaff’s, an activity generally considered a big fucking punchline at this point in our lives, but whatever.

Here are some sample questions from the Facebook:

  • What is the least/most successful prank you have pulled
  • How do you like your eggs cooked?
  • If you were a soup what type would you be, and why?

Whoopie cushion/dead loved ones; I don’t eat eggs; split pea soup because why not? I don’t know, these are dumb questions. Here are some better ones:

  • Are you Jewish? If you’re not, would you consider converting?
  • Do you find back hair attractive?
  • Do, date, die: Edward James Olmos, Horatio Sanz, Robert Blake?
  • Wanna have sex?

This thing is co-sponsored by Lively Lucy’s and Bare, so it should at least make for a few funny stories. Apparently, there will be “love snacks, love songs, and a prize for people who plan to go on a date after this event,” so good luck, future lovers!

Thursday February 14, 7:30pm @ Falstaff’s
