Installation views, 2010 Skidmore Student Exhibition in Schick Art Gallery
The opening reception for the 2011 Schick Gallery Student Exhibition is this Thursday Feb. 3rd from 5:30-7pm.
The show will highlight work by Skidmore art majors in all mediums. This year’s guest juror is Rachel Seligman, a former Skidmore Art History professor and art professional who has served in curatorial positions at the Lake George Arts Project and Union College. Seligman has curated the exhibition by selecting the most outstanding examples of the roughly 250 works of ceramics, communication design, drawing and painting, electronic media, fiber arts, installation, metals, photography, printmaking, and sculpture submitted for review.
Prizes and gift certificates totaling over $1,000 will be awarded to a deserving few at the opening reception.
