NO ONE’S HOUSE LOOKS LIKE THIS

Skidmore be relieved!  That mystical new housing complex you walk through on your way to Northwoods has officially opened. Even though 240 students called the new units their home so far this semester, they must have been wrong. There’s no way Skidmore’s media team can be THAT late to break a story.  Dubbed the Sussman Village after “Trustee Emeritus S. Donald Sussman, who served on the board of trustees from 2004 to 2012 and is the father of Emily Sussman ’04. He and his family pledged $12 million for new residential housing during Skidmore’s ‘Creative Thought, Bold Promise’ fundraising campaign” (capital campaign names actually make me queasy).

Northwoods Music Festival

Tomorrow is the second annual Northwoods Music Festival by the Volleyball Court. A bunch of bands will be playing and there will be food. Here’s the tentative schedule:

1:00-1:30 – Trophy Wives
1:30-2:00 – Bo Beep and the Funk Sheep
2:00-2:30 – The Hilarys
2:30-3:00 – Unionized Sherpas
3:00-3:30 – Camper
3:30-4:00 –  Mugsy Boges
4:00-4:30 – DJ Some Kid
4:30-5:00 – Bandersnatchers

Should be a nice little study break. It’s all free, too.
