RFC, EAC, Garden Club, & Outing Club Present: Beats For Beets

Wednesday, March 26th, 2014

The annual Beats for Beets fundraiser (?) is this Thursday at Falstaff’s. The event’s put on by a slew of Skidmore clubs all in support of real food, sustainability, outdoor things, and music. John Kirk and Trish Miller’s band will be offering some bluegrass tunes to loosen up the mood. There will also be contra dancing, which is supposedly a form of New England folk dancing that involves two lines of couples moving their feet and smiling at each other. It sounds a little bit like square dancing, but in two lines. Skidmore’s Real Food Challenge will provide a dinner of fresh stew and a dessert of apple crisp with ice cream.

Hopefully the garden’s figured out that lead problem by now…

Beats for Beets, Thursday, 6:30pm at Falstaff’s.
