SEC Presents: Slow Magic & PSYMON SPINE (12/5)

Friday, December 5th, 2014

It’s like Deadmau5, but good.

Tonight at 9pm, everyone’s favorite lovingly unapproachable entertainment company will be presenting yet another deck Friday night show to begin this jam-packed weekend. Co-sponsored by SEC and Lively Lucy’s, Skidmore veterans of chill wave PSYMON SPINE, who have shaped up to be one of the semester’s most active and beloved bands, will be opening for Slow Magic, a killer electronic act who wears a fucking zebra mask.

Both bands are super rad, and Falstaff’s will be the place to be starting at 9pm. So take your favorite Uncle Qwik’s word for it and swing by. Maybe you’ll dance up to a whimsical girl with bangs (or a whimsical dude with that one haircut all the dudes at this school have now), who will then change your life forever with an evening you’ll never forget. And pressure you to try cocaine for the first time. But don’t do that. That happened to my friend in Belgium and it fucked him up real good. Don’t do drugs, even if it might involve you getting laid.

I don’t know, I just could see something like that happening at this show. Doors are at 9pm.

“Special Guests” would be a bomb band name.

PSYMON SPINE, Skidmore’s darlings on all things electronic and whimsical, are playing a show at Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg next Monday, August 18. Joining them will be Graham (of Crystal Fighters), Photojay, and (exitpost).

There are still tickets left, but apparently they’re going quickly, so purchase them while you can at $12-a-pop here. Show is 18+, so be sure to leave your annoying underage friends behind.
