Cabaret Troupe Presents: ‘Urinetown’ (4/2-4/4)

Thursday, April 2nd, 2015

Dope logo.

Tonight, April 2nd, Cabaret Troupe will premiere their production of Mark Hollmann’s Urinetown, which will run until this Sunday, April 4th.

A Tony-Award-winning musical, Urinetown takes place in a society where corporate control has made it “a privilege to pee.” “Urinetown raises the question of how to properly respond to a crisis,” says director Cal Lane ’16. “While it may seem like none of the characters know what they’re doing, they are not stupid. In fact they are so motivated by a singular passion that they simply can’t see anyone else’s viewpoint.”

Performances are this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 9April 2-4) all at 7pm in Filene Auditorium. The show is entirely free and student-run. It looks like Cab Troupe’s really come a long way since their legendarily atrocious production of Cabaret, so be sure to stop by and check out the show.

Zombie Prom

Saturday, November 13th, 2010

Cabaret Troupe is putting on a totally free performance of Zombie Prom this weekend in Falstaff’s.

Saturday November 13 @ 7:30
Sunday November 14 @ 2:30
Monday NIGHT Encore performance November 15 @ TBA

I’ve never been to a zombie prom but I assume it is similar to a regular prom except that some of the people (all of the people?) are zombies. Personally I think it is horrible that we live in a society where zombies are segregated from the rest of the population and forced to have their own separate prom.  I have a dream that one day we will live in a world where people are judged not on the rotting of their skin but by  the content of their character.
