This morning the Skidmore Shop sold me a pen because I forgot to put one in my pocket when I left my house and this evening the Skidmore Shop served me free Nunzio’s pizza because my refrigerator is empty. Tomorrow the Skidmore Shop will sell me deeply discounted art supplies and next week they will give me a free sweatshirt when I buy one of equal or lesser value. I do not deserve any of this but continue to reap the benefits.
On Wednesday and Thursday most art supplies at the Skidmore Shop will be 30% off between 5 and 7pm. I am not a business major or anything like that but I honestly cannot figure out how discounts of this size are a viable business option. Also, if I was an Art Major or liked art or whatever I would buy a shit ton of art supplies and keep them under my bed or something because last time I checked art supplies are really expensive.
November 2nd is the first SkidShop Two for Tuesday where you buy something and then get a second one free. Nov. 2nd if you buy a sweatshirt the random free thing you get is “a sweatshirt of equal or lesser value.” More information about this equally baffling business model available here.
