Skidnews Not Into Sexy Questions

Written by Executive Editor on October 16th, 2008

I’m not trying to start a journalism war or anything but a concerned tipster sent us an email today about how Skidnews refused to run the weekly “Ask the Sex-perts” column this year. Apparently, in the past, the Center For Sex and Gender Relations had written a column that would research and answer student submitted questions which had previously stumped the Center’s staffers. Anyhoo, Skidnews has supposedly declined to run the column this year citing its non-pertinence. I’m no Tom Brokaw but wouldn’t the fact that those questions were student submitted make them pretty pertinent? So what do you think folks? Skidnews, any comments?

The Center didn’t approach SN asking to run a column: they just dropped them an email saying “here’s the column, run it.”

If they stop by the newsroom on a Monday night (9:30 or 10ish?), SN would definitely want to talk about running a column. From what I understand, it just has to be something that they discuss in advance.

  2. there you have it folks.

Doesn’t matter. Skidnews is an embarrassment and will continue to be an embarrassment until they get some people over there who know what they are doing.

  4. I would not say all of that, Guest.

    Skidnews sucks. Period.
But the paper is handy for picking up poopy when taking your dog for a poop outside :)
Maybe the Center should try posting their questions in an outlet that people ACTUALLY read.

We will be posting the questions on Facebook at our fan Page and website!
