Millhauser Returns To The New Yorker

I'm probably going to win the cartoon caption contest this week also

Enigmatic Skidmore professor and Pulitzer Prize winning author Steven Millhauser has a short story called Getting Closer in this week’s New Yorker magazine.

Millhauser’s fiction has deservedly found its way into the magazine before and many of his stories remain available to non-subscribers. In 1997 his novel Martin Dressler won Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and his most recent collection of short fiction Dangerous Laughter: Thirteen Stories made the New York Times Book Review‘s list of “10 Best Books of 2008” as chosen by the paper’s editors.  Millhauser is the The Tisch Chair in Arts and Letters and will be teaching two writing workshops this upcoming semester.
