Apply to Become a Peer Health Educator

Kate Child from the Office of Health Promotions writes in to tell us about the oppertunitiy to become a Peer Health Educator:

Health Promotions is beginning our search for the next generation of Peer Health Educators. We are looking for first year students to participate in a 3 credit class (offered through the Honor’s Forum) where students will do coursework to gain a wide understanding of a variety of health and wellness topics. The class will meet from 2;30 – 4:20 on Monday’s through the spring semester.
PHE’s live in res halls where they are available for one-on-one conversations with students about health and wellness topics. They offer interactive programming and campus wide events. They create restroom readers and flyers for campus, contribute to SkidNews, and so on.
