The Skidmore Theater Department will debut its spring mainstage production, Federico García Lorca’s Blood Wedding, this Friday, April 10th at 8pm. The show will run from April 10-12, then April 16-19. All performances are at 8:00pm, except for Sunday matinees, which are at 2pm.

Tradition, passion and violence are at the core of this true story about a love that can never become a marriage. BLOOD WEDDING is rooted in the land, and in it’s people’s desire to cling on to tradition in changing times. Underneath the landscape of this play is the rumbling of the early days of the Spanish Civil War and Lorca’s poetic resistance.

Tickets are $8 for Students & Seniors and $12 for General Admission. Contact the Skidmore Theater box office at 518-580-5439 or boxoffice@skidmore.edu for tickets, or purchase tickets online.

(UPDATE 4/10/15: The Saratogian recently did two great write-ups on the show, which you can check out here and here.)
