that is complicated, and i know that's gotta suck. just try to reassure your BF that you really do love him and that it was just a silly mistake. he may not trust you right away but if he really likes you he should give you a chance.
honestly, i can't say whether you should tell him or not i haven't been in that situation, but it's probably a bad idea to lie if he doesn't know and then asks you straight out.
